According to an unknown philosopher, all art aims at beauty. In the modern day, art is all about concept. Some artists debate on what the art is really about, not its color quality or media used. There are six aims of art based on Seattle Pi.
The first one is for religious purposes. The sculptures of saints, the paintings on the walls and ceilings, and the whole interior of the churches are made for praising God. They made it to honor God and to give the people the whole picture of what the whole Bible is trying to tell us. By this, imagining the events that took place centuries ago will not be as hard as it looks like. Second is social commentary. Art is used to give opinions in societal norms, rules, and injustices. It makes people think broader and wider about the issues the world is experiencing right now. Third and fourth are storytelling and self-expression. There is always art in storytelling especially in children’s books. The more colors and beautiful pictures produced, the more children will learn from it. It also helps in releasing the true inner beauty of a person. It makes them happy that they build something they believe in. Fifth and last are beauty and emotion. Yes, something made beautifully is easier to appreciate and understand sometimes. But, emotions are also built in these structures because the artist wants the viewers to feel something through their art. Yes, there is beauty in art. But, art doesn’t purely aim at beauty.
Journalism is defined as the activity of gathering, assessing, creating, and presenting news and information. It updates the people with factual content of the current events happening in and out of the country. Multimedia Arts is the creation of images and content using the latest design techniques and technology. It combines the traditional and conventional way of making an artwork. Multimedia Arts and Journalism combined is a powerful way of conveying news to the mass. Art gives visual representation of the news. It makes the content much easier to understand for its audience. Art also portrays the thoughts and emotions addressed by the news. The mass can empathize and understand the intensity of the news delivered. Art is a still-moving image in a person’s mind. It can tell hundreds, or even thousands of stories depending on the perspective of the person. It plays scenarios of the story being told in a person’s mind. Multimedia Arts as a form of Journalism portrays news and stories beyond what is heard, shown, and televised to the nation.
